In 1993, I started an auto paint touch up company called Color Creation. I started doing plastic bumper repair shortly after while serving mostly car dealerships for the first 15 years in business. In 2007, I opened a shop in Placentia, added employees, etc. In 2008, when the economy took a turn for the worst I started marketing to the private party market under fixmybumper.com. Now over 30 years later, a lot of experience has been gained. We’ve done work for all walks of life including celebrities and even a famous body shop with a TV show! The name of the business has changed to Fix My Bumper to coincide with what we actually do and for marketing reasons. I take my business very seriously by using high quality materials, applying expertise, doing our best on every job and putting the customer 1st. How do you match the paint?
Every car has a paint code usually on a sticker located in the driver door jamb. That code is inputted into our computer on board and it matches the paint exactly to the factory color.
How long do most jobs take?
Most jobs that are one area of the bumper/panel take about 2-3 hours to complete. Each additional area adds about 1-2 hours.
How long does it take for the paint to dry when you are done?
After the final coat of clear coat is applied, it takes about an hour to dry to the touch. At this point nothing is going to stick to it and the appearance is not going to change. It takes about 12-16 hours for the clear coat to cure and harden. Which means if it’s a front bumper, it’s best not to drive it until it’s cured. Also, no washing the car until for a couple days.
What forms of payment do you take, do you accept credit cards?
We accept cash, check, credit cards, Venmo and Zelle
Will I be able to see the scratch or dent at all after you are done?
No, you will not see the scratch/dent once it’s repaired. They get sanded, filled and primed before the paint is applied. So after it’s painted, it is a seamless amazing result.

Do you offer any kind of warranty?
Yes. Because of our experience, the right equipment and high end materials, we have a three year warranty on every job. That’s the same as factory. Like anything, the better you take care of your car…the longer it will last.
